VOICES seeks to fill a new position — Grants Coordinator. We’re seeking an enthusiastic self-starter who is very experienced in grants research, grants writing, and grants management. Position is P/T (15 to 25 hours per week). OVERALL JOB MISSION of the GRANTS COORDINATOR: to help research, write, and manage grants for VOICES’ programs and general operating support.
MISSION, VALUES, PROGRAMS. Will take responsibility for ongoing education and professional development in the following VOICES-mission-critical areas: youth arts, youth development, media and documentary arts, workforce development, out-of-school time issues, after school issues, adolescent citizenship and leadership development, adolescent emotional and prosocial development, adolescent intellectual and cognitive development, adolescent creativity and artistic development, adolescent higher education preparation.
RESEARCH. Will include, but is not limited to, the following activities: research and identify local/national/international and public/private grants that VOICES should compete for; work with Executive Director (ED) to prioritize these prospects; clarification of RFPs; contact cultivation via phone and email; and prospect evaluation.
GRANTS MANAGEMENT. Will include, but is not limited to, the following activities: tracking deadlines; clearly communicating information needs to staff and vendors (e.g. Diann Belleranti of Affordable Services for Nonprofits); managing the compilation of grant packages (including narratives, budgets, photographs, etc.).
GRANT WRITING. Will assist with grant writing on an as-needed basis.
