VOICES HQ Under Construction Summer 2007

This construction is a joint venture renovation project of VOICES and City High School to improve the building we share at 48 E. Pennington Street in downtown Tucson, Arizona so we can serve more local youth in school and after school.

We are renovating 14,895 square feet of basement and ground floor space in two phases:

• In Phase I (Summer 2007), we will renovate the basement — 6,212 square feet.
• In Phase II (Summer 2008), we will renovate the ground floor — 8,683 square feet.

Overall Goals of the City High School/VOICES Capital
Campaign

• Increase and improve 48 E. Pennington building capacity so we can serve more students in-school and after-school — both as individual organizations and as a powerful and innovative partnership.
• Redesign and remake the building to be a programming ally instead of a programming obstacle (which it currently often is).

• Transform this building into a community center that offers a rich array of educational, artistic, social, civic, and recreational opportunities to youth and the broader community — during the day, in the evening, on the weekends, and throughout the school year and summer.
