VOICES Movie Night 11/8
The first Documentary Arts Movie Night (DAMN) of the VOICES program year took place October 9 at VOICES’ new downstairs lounge. VOICES staff members and friends ate popcorn and watched Dark Days, a documentary about people who lived in underground train tunnels near New York’s Penn Station in the late 1990s.
All youth are invited to attend this month’s DAMN featuring Walkout, a 2006 TV movie based on the 1968 Mexican-American student walkouts that took place in East Los Angeles. The movie starts at 7 p.m. Thursday, November 8, at VOICES (located in downtown Tucson at 48 E. Pennington Street). Arrive early to get a good spot on the couch and first dibs on snacks.
For more information, call the VOICES office at 622-7458.
