Newest Issue of 110¬? is Now Available!

Congratulations to the young staff and adult mentors and volunteers who worked on the newest edition of the magazine 110¬?: Tucson’s Youth Tell Tucson’s Stories. The magazine is published through a partnership between the youth documentary arts organization VOICES, the Star and other community supporters. The stories and photos for the magazine are produced by young people who are hired and paid by VOICES, a Tucson-based nonprofit documentary arts and youth-development organization.

Through the 110¬? After School Magazine Project, the youth staff worked after school throughout the year on their stories, conducting interviews, doing research, writing and taking photos. This edition includes first-person accounts of being transgender, the lasting effects of being bullied, examinations of Mexican-American identity and the path to transcendence.

A special thank you goes to Star designer Anne Kenady, who put in long hours to put all of the pieces together into one, cohesive magazine.
