Carbon Theirren, 20

Since I’ve been in Tucson I’ve just been painting and writing, when I can focus. During the summer I do commercial fishing in Naknek, Alaska to pay the bills. I’ve worked on a few art projects that were fun: “Our Truth,” a 3-person painting exhibition at the Icehouse in Phoenix, Survival Research Laboratories shows, and some of my parents’ art installations. I’m going to go back to Phoenix after VOICES to live with my dad downtown, and I’m going to try and get into art school. I like skateboarding because it takes me all over the city and puts me into weird situations. I would like to go on a trip to the Salton Sea soon.
