Although I interviewed at VOICES to work for the magazine, I was offered a position in the radio group and instantly took the opportunity at something I was unfamiliar with. After my first few days on the job, I realized I wasn’t used to being around the same kinds of kids. However, I grew to call these kids my friends, and my mind opened up to everyone’s opinion. I now value different perspectives. The staff has made me feel very comfortable, and I will try to return.
