I have a son and currently live in a group home. I grew in Tucson, an only child with my mother who was a single parent. I didn’t have such a good childhood but there were times were I didn’t need much. I don’t speak with much of my family anymore and, with time, I have learned that if you want to achieve anything in life you have to get there on your own. I was not always in Child Protective Services (CPS) and in a group home. I came in to CPS two years ago. I now work for VOICES and it has been a big help. At times there are many issues hitting me at once and when I get to VOICES my mind seems to go elsewhere. All the people I work with are very helpful and caring.
