About the show:

Twelve youth from across Tucson spent three weeks learning the craft of interior landscape photography. Each student was trained how to maximize the technical settings of their cameras – shutter speed and depth of field – to execute and capture their unique artistic vision.

Each student documented their bedroom, capturing images that provide illumination and insight to what each feel symbolizes their individuality and youth. Some youth share their room with a sibling, others have their own room. Some youth have lived in their rooms for years, others were in unfamiliar rooms – having recently moved into a new space or were staying with friends for the summer. Some youth live on their own, others with their families. This collection of images is a record of the way these photographers visualize who they are at this poignant moment in their lives.
