Amanda Kraus – Interim Board President/Secretary
Amanda Kraus is currently the Program Coordinator for the Disabled Veterans’ Reintegration and Education Project at the Disability Resource Center at The University of Arizona. She attended Carnegie Mellon University and earned a master’s and doctorate from The University of Arizona’s Center for the Study for Higher Education.
Kirk Strang – Treasurer
Kirk Strang is a financial advisor with Morgan Stanley where he develops investment strategies and directly manages investment portfolios for individuals and businesses. Kirk lends his expertise to a number of nonprofits and community initiatives, including serving as a member of the Finance Committee for The Museum of Contemporary Art, on the CRUSH Wine Festival event committee for the Tucson Museum of Art, and on the Pima County DOT Community Advisory Committee for La Canada Road Project.
Sean Fitzpatrick – Past President
Sean Fitzpatrick handles project management, content and Web technology for the University of Arizona Science Center. He helped found StarNet, one of the first 10 newspaper Web Sites, in 1995, and has led Web efforts for The Arizona Republic, San Antonio Express-News, and Wick Communications (Tucson Weekly, Inside Tucson Business), as well as The University of Arizona Athletics Department.
Judy Dare
A Nebraska native, Judy Dare is a retired Public Health Nutritionist and teacher. She moved to Tucson in 1996 and has been involved in numerous community activities and organizations.
Ray Frieders
Ray Frieders is the production manager for Cox Media, where he has spent over 25 years helping Tucson businesses create television advertising campaigns. He has a bachelor’s degree in Radio & Television from the University of Arizona and received the U of A Media Arts “Mentor of the Year” award in 2005. Ray is currently vice-chair of the board of directors for the Tucson Alliance for Autism, and has over 10 years experience with national nonprofit organizations.
Donnamarie Miranda
Donnmarie Miranda joined VOICES in 2005 as a Youth Apprentice journalist for Issue 6 of the magazine. Through Issues 7 and 8, she continued as a Youth Leader and as the Executive Administrative Assistant and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in psychology through The University of Phoenix.
Roman Sandoval
Roman Sandoval is owner and president of Motto Productions, Inc., president of M4 Studios, and chief executive of Sandoval Media Group, an advertising syndication and multi-media production company. Through his companies Sandoval has produced local, regional and national advertising from his Tucson-based studio. He also has produced directed syndicated and nationally-broadcast commercials and film projects for a variety of clients.
Kristen Suaguee-Beauduy
Kristen Suagee-Beauduy graduated from Tucson High in 2002. She worked as a youth apprentice on the 110 Degrees Magazine Issue 3 and 4 and worked as a 110 Assistant Editor on Issue 5 and 6. Kristen also worked as an AmeriCorp member on Issue 7/8 until October 1, 2007, when she resigned from a staff position at VOICES to attend the University of Arizona full-time to pursue a degree in creative writing and a minor in American Indian Studies.
Reyes Suarez
Reyes Suarez is a graduate of Tucson High Magnet School. He began at VOICES in 2006 as a youth apprentice for VOICES 110º After-School Magazine. VOICES helped him through a troubled time and encouraged him to finish high school and seek higher education. His intent on the Board is to provide the same opportunity to other at-risk youth.
